A few questions
every day
One streak to keep. Three rankings. About two minutes a day.
Independent app. Not associated with Formula 1 or the FIA.
How it works
One quiz a day.
One attempt.
- A new quiz every day at 00:00 UTC — the same questions for every player, in your language.
- One attempt only. You see the correct answer and a short explanation right after each question.
- Finish the quiz and your streak grows. Miss a day and it starts over.
Three rankings
Country and global
Longest streak
Days in a row. The one ranking that rewards showing up.
Fastest answers
Average time on correct answers only. Timed on the server.
Accuracy
Share of correct answers, from at least 10 finished quizzes.
→ We never add fake players to the rankings.
Legal
Privacy policy
F1 Daily Quiz is built to need as little about you as possible. There is no sign-up, no password, no advertising and no analytics or tracking software of any kind. This policy explains exactly what the app stores, why, and how to get rid of it.
1. Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Digi Cube Andrzej Pindor, ul. Matejki 8, 96-316 Międzyborów, Poland (NIP 5291653240, REGON 142693355) (“we”, “us”), publisher of the F1 Daily Quiz mobile application.
Questions, requests or complaints: [email protected].
2. What we collect
| Data | Why | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous account identifier (a random UUID created on first launch) | To keep your streak, results and rankings attached to one account without a sign-up | Art. 6(1)(b) — performing the service you asked for |
| Nickname you choose | Shown publicly next to your results in the rankings | Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Country you pick | Decides which country ranking you appear in. It is your choice — we never check your location, and the app does not request location permission | Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Device time zone and app language | To send the daily reminder at 7:00 PM your local time and to serve questions in your language | Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Quiz activity: answers given, whether each was correct, how long each answer took, streaks and totals | To score the quiz, keep your streak and build the rankings. Answer times are measured on our server, not on your phone, so the rankings mean something | Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Email address — optional | Only if you choose “Secure your account”. It lets you get your streak and results back on a new phone by receiving a one-time sign-in code. We never send marketing email | Art. 6(1)(a) — your consent, withdrawable at any time |
| Push notification token — optional | Created only if you allow notifications, so we can deliver the daily reminder and the streak alert. Turning notifications off in the app or in system settings stops this | Art. 6(1)(a) |
| Purchase status (whether the one-time unlock is active) | To unlock the app after you buy it and to restore the purchase on a new device | Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Technical event log tied to your account identifier (which quiz was started, answered, retried), with timestamps | To detect cheating and abuse of the rankings and to investigate faults | Art. 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in fair rankings and a working service |
3. What we do not collect
- No analytics and no tracking. The app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no third-party tracker. We do not track you across apps or websites and we never ask for the App Tracking Transparency permission.
- No location. The country in your profile is the one you picked yourself.
- No contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
- No real name, address, date of birth or phone number.
- No payment card data. Payment happens entirely inside the App Store or Google Play; we only ever learn that a purchase is valid.
- We never sell or rent your data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
4. What is public
The rankings are public inside the app. Other players can see your nickname, your country flag, your longest streak, your accuracy and your average answer time. Nothing else about you is shown — your email address is never visible to anyone but you and us.
Pick a nickname you are comfortable showing in public. Nicknames that are offensive or that impersonate someone may be reported by other players and changed or removed by us.
5. Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers, each bound by a data processing agreement and each acting only on our instructions:
- Supabase — database, anonymous authentication, email sign-in codes and server functions. Our project is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
- Resend — delivery of the one-time sign-in code email, only if you link an email address.
- Expo — delivery of push notifications, only if you enable them.
- RevenueCat — validation of your one-time purchase with the App Store or Google Play.
- Apple and Google — app distribution and payment. Their own privacy policies apply to the purchase itself.
Some of these providers are established outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, transfers are covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
Your account data and quiz history are kept for as long as your account exists, because your lifetime streak and statistics depend on them. Technical event logs are kept for 12 months. If you ask us to delete your account, everything tied to it is erased within 30 days, including your entries in the rankings.
7. Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account by itself — that is deliberate, so a lost or replaced phone does not wipe your streak. To delete your account and everything attached to it, email [email protected] from the address linked to your account, or send us the nickname you play under. We confirm once it is done.
8. Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to processing, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you gave. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; in Poland that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
If you are in California, you have equivalent rights to know, delete and correct your data, and the right not to be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
9. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that limit) and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with TLS. The app never talks to the database directly — every request goes through our server functions, which is also why the correct answer to a question never reaches your phone before you tap. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data — for example by adding crash reporting — we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will also be announced in the app before they take effect.
